International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction will be celebrated on October 13, this year under the Theme: "Making Youth Partners for Disaster Risk Reduction."Â The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) conducted a number of activities, targeting young children and youths in keeping with this theme.

As part of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) 20th anniversary, twenty awards will be presented to individuals and institutions whose long term efforts have fundamentally changed the delivery of disaster management in the region for the better.
