As Tropical Storm Isaac churns towards islands in the northern and western Caribbean, I would like, as the chairman of Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) to appeal to residents in the threatened Member States to take all necessary and serious precautions at this time.
In efforts to enhance the early warning systems in Saint Lucia, the project entitled 鈥楽trengthen Integrated Early Warning Systems (EWS) in the Caribbean鈥� was launched in on May 22, 2018 during the Opening Session of the 鈥榁alidation Workshop for Saint Lucia鈥檚 Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MHEWS) Gap Analysis and the Development of the National Roadmap鈥�.
