MESSAGE: No further activities reported with the Kick-‘Em-Jenny underwater volcano

THE SITUATION:
The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the University of the West Indies has reported that during the period 00:20 a.m. on 2nd May and 10:00 a.m. on 5th May, there have been no volcanic earthquakes associated with the Kick-'em-Jenny (KeJ) volcano. According to the UWI-SRC, the activities relating to this episode appear to be over. However, the UWI-SRC advised that the pattern of behaviour at the Kick ‘Em Jenny volcano has been changing and another episode of activity in the short-term should not be ruled out.

CONCLUSION:
Given the final advisory issued by the UWI-SRC on May 5th, this will also be the final Information Note on the Kick ‘Em Jenny episode from CDEMA. CDEMA will continue to monitor and provide updates as is necessary.
